Privacy Policy
Effective August 24, 2026
This Policy explains how mplace collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use mplace.world.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: Google account identifier, email address, display name, and profile image when you sign in with Google.
- Profile and content: your mplace nickname, uploaded profile or track images, track titles, artist names, YouTube links, group activity, and content you choose to submit.
- Game and transaction records: paint and coin balances, map actions, play progress, rankings, checkout references, purchased product, amount, currency, and fulfillment or refund status. We do not store full payment-card details.
- Technical and usage information: IP-derived country, browser and device information, session identifiers, pages and features used, diagnostic events, and security logs.
2. How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, operate the map and game economy, process and reconcile purchases, display profiles and rankings, store user submissions, prevent abuse and fraud, troubleshoot problems, analyze product usage, communicate about support requests, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Cookies and local storage
mplace uses an essential session cookie to keep you signed in. The service may also use browser storage for language, onboarding, interface state, and analytics-flow information. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to measure use of the service. You can limit non-essential storage through your browser settings, although some features may work differently.
4. When information is shared
We may share the minimum information necessary with service providers that support mplace, including Google for sign-in and analytics, YouTube for embedded playback, infrastructure and image-storage providers, map-data providers, and Lemon Squeezy or another disclosed provider for checkout and payment administration. Public profile names, images, submitted tracks, groups, rankings, and map activity may be visible to other users.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. International processing
Some providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers.
6. Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above. Account and game records may be retained while your account is active. Transaction, fraud-prevention, security, and legal records may be retained for longer periods required by law or legitimate operational needs. Uploaded content may remain in backups for a limited period after deletion.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may sign out at any time and may request account or data deletion by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including restricted access and protected session credentials. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
mplace is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children who cannot legally consent to its processing. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information without valid permission should contact us.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy as the service or legal requirements change. The effective date will show the latest revision. Privacy questions and rights requests may be sent to doohwancho1993@gmail.com.
