Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of mplace, an interactive music territory map available at mplace.world. By using mplace, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. If you are a minor, you may use mplace only with permission from a parent or legal guardian where required. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure.

2. How the service works

mplace lets users place music references on a map, play embedded YouTube content, spend rechargeable paint, expand territory, join groups, and participate in rankings. Features, rules, availability, balances, and map results may change as the service evolves.

3. User content

You retain ownership of content you submit, including profile images, track artwork, titles, descriptions, links, and map activity. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it. You grant mplace a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, resize, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, promote, secure, and improve the service.

Do not submit content that is illegal, infringing, deceptive, hateful, sexually exploitative, malicious, invasive of privacy, or intended to disrupt the service. We may remove content or restrict accounts when reasonably necessary to protect users, third parties, or mplace.

Uploading an inappropriate image or submitting an inappropriate YouTube video may result in removal of the content and temporary suspension or permanent banning of your account.

4. Fair use of the service

You may not use bots, scripts, unauthorized automation, exploits, multiple accounts for unfair advantage, scraping that burdens the service, attempts to bypass rate limits, or access to systems or data you are not authorized to use.

5. Third-party services

mplace may use or link to services operated by others, including Google, YouTube, map-data providers, analytics providers, storage providers, and payment processors. Their services and content are governed by their own terms and policies. mplace does not control the availability or content of third-party services.

6. Purchases and virtual items

Optional purchases may provide M Coins or other virtual items. Virtual items are licensed for use only within mplace, have no cash value, cannot be transferred outside the service, and are not investments or stored-value accounts. Prices and included quantities are shown before checkout. Payment processing may be provided by Lemon Squeezy or another disclosed merchant or payment provider.

Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy and any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.

7. Suspension and termination

You may stop using mplace at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or reset improperly obtained benefits when you materially violate these Terms, threaten the service or other users, or when required by law. We will act proportionately where reasonably possible.

8. Service availability and disclaimers

mplace is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent preservation of map state, or the continued availability of any feature or third-party media. To the maximum extent permitted by law, mplace disclaims implied warranties. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, mplace will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of the service. Any aggregate liability relating to a paid service will not exceed the amount you paid for that service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms when the service or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised, and material changes may be announced through the service. Continuing to use mplace after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
